Jennifer Hudson is an artist working out of the Kansas City area.

After her graduation from Emporia State University in 2008, she taught high school art curriculum suburban Kansas City, Kansas. Jennifer was named the Kansas Outstanding Secondary Art Educator of the Year in 2014-15 by the Kansas Art Education Association.

Currently, Jennifer is pursuing her MFA in Painting at Kansas State University. Her current work focuses on the power imbalance and gender inequity that women face – from women as animal metaphors used in common place language (and by those in power), the hidden safety precautions women take everyday to protect themselves,  intimate partner violence, and the social miseries of everyday appearance expectations.
