Education
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” Malcolm X
We believe that regardless of location or social circumstance, everyone should have access to the arts. A proportion of all Zari Gallery profits goes towards supporting learning opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
Community outreach
We connect community groups with artists, educators and organisations for open and dynamic exchanges, often hosted in our gallery space.
Membership programme
Being an artist is one thing, but being an entrepreneur is another. We work closely with young and underrepresented artists to guide them through each stage of the exhibition process, culminating in a real and virtual exhibition at our gallery. Members also benefit from talks, workshops and ongoing mentorship. For more info, please contact membership@zarigallery.co.uk
Public events and exhibitions
We’re always looking for new ways to bring artists and audiences together to foster a deeper appreciation of art and culture. We do this with lectures, workshops, tours, family days and demonstrations, and of course through carefully curated exhibitions. This extends to our virtual tours which are designed to make art accessible from anywhere.
Other initiatives
We host a wide variety of projects to help artists. These range from Artist Support Days that tackle exclusion (enabling artists to get their work photographed in a gallery), through to digital skills workshops that help artists develop their digital presence. We also host a variety of artist-led online training on topics such as exploring socially engaged practices, disabilities, collaborating with creative communities across the UK and creative workshops.
