In The Mix – Fredrick Ingoldby, Robert Bradford, Sophie Bridgland, Sophie Rose Walters, Dominika Karc and Laurence Morrison

27th March – 13th April, 2023

Zari Gallery brings together the work of an incredible list of artists for the new exhibition, In the Mix.

The full list of exhibited artists includes Frederick Ingoldby, Robert Bradford, Sophie Bridgland, Sophie-Rose Walters, Dominika Karc and Laurence Morrison.

These artists all bring something extraordinary to the table. No two are the same, with different forms, styles and techniques sitting side by side in a way that will genuinely make visitors feel like they are in the mix.

This exhibition promises to be an extraordinary opportunity for people to submerge themselves into various pieces from several gifted artists.

This includes Frederick Ingoldby, who won the coveted Freelands Painting Prize in 2021 and the Shape Artist Award in 2022. Ingoldby’s intriguing oil paintings explore different themes through magic and realistic scenes. Meanwhile, mixed media painter Sophie Bridgland has been wowing with her work for over ten years and now has an enticing inventory of more than 400 pieces.

This broad variety of backgrounds and stories will only illuminate the distinctive approaches that the artists take with their work. In some instances, visitors will gaze into mesmerising abstract pieces, while just a few moments later, they’ll find themselves lost in a figurative piece.

There is something for everyone when In the Mix opens on March 27. We’d like to invite you to come and join us at any point before the exhibition closes on April 13th, 2023.

The Notorious B.I.G, Laurence Morrison

Laurence Morrison

Laurence Morrison explores portraiture as a gateway to identity and self-discovery. Born and raised in the Midlands, Laurence’s bi-racial heritage attributes to his exploration within his works. His past 20 years have been used to perfect his craft. Since graduating from university in 2021 with a degree in Fine Art, Laurence has continued to expand his portfolio. Now, he is working closely with private collectors, and produces bespoke commissions.

Not limited by medium, Laurence continues to explore new approaches to portraiture. Seeking to contextualise the humanness of his subjects, he captures the very essence of life, that makes us human. Through the use of traditional mediums, he communicates the personality, life and character of his subjects in the hope that it connects his audiences in different ways, inspiring them just as he himself has been inspired
