Zari Gallery is honoured to host a special exhibition showcasing an extraordinary collection of artworks generously donated by talented artists in support of the Magdi Yacoub Institute. From 10th to 13th February, these works will be available for purchase through an exclusive online auction, with all proceeds going directly towards advancing life-saving cardiovascular research.
Visitors to the gallery will have the opportunity to experience these remarkable pieces in person before placing their bids online. This is a unique chance to acquire stunning artwork while making a meaningful contribution to improving the lives of those affected by cardiovascular disease.

Robert Montgomery is a British contemporary artist well known for his work in public space. He makes lightworks, billboard poems, fire poems, paintings and watercolours. His work brings text art closer to the language of poetry.
He represented the UK in the 2012 Kochi Biennale and the 2016 Yinchuan Biennale. His work is in museum collections worldwide, including the Albright Knox in New York and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. He has had solo museum projects at the Aspen Art Museum in Colorado, Oklahoma Contemporary in Oklahoma City, and the Cer Modern Museum in Ankara.
His work was recently included in the Musée du Louvre exhibition “La Suite de l’Histoire” in Paris. His work is hugely popular on the internet. The piece “The People You Love Become Ghosts Inside of You” has been shared online more than 200 million times.

Barnaby Hosking, born in 1976 in Norwich, Norfolk, UK, is a London-based artist renowned for his innovative work in video installations, light sculptures, ceramics, paintings, and prints. He earned his MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2003, following a BA in Fine Art from the City and Guilds of London Art School in 2001.
Throughout his career, Hosking has received several accolades, including the Credit Suisse Bank Prize and The National Grid Transco Award in 2003, as well as the Michael Kenny Memorial Prize in 2001. His work has been showcased in solo exhibitions at esteemed venues such as Houghton Hall in Norfolk, SE8 Gallery in London, and Judith Charles Gallery in New York.
Hosking’s artistic practice often involves solitary expeditions, allowing him to disconnect from modern life’s distractions and deeply engage with his creative process. His works are part of notable collections, including The Saatchi Gallery in London, the Rubell Family Collection in Miami, and the Goetz Collection in Munich.

Victoria Achache, born in 1952, is a British painter and printmaker known for her vibrant use of color and the interplay between abstract and figurative elements in her work. She studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London from 1970 to 1974.
Throughout her career, Achache has exhibited internationally, including multiple times at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition since 1979.
Her work has also been showcased in major London galleries and in solo exhibitions in Barcelona.
Based in London and Dorset, Achache continues to create artworks that combine abstract spaces with elusive figures.

Jason Ellis, born in Cornwall, UK, in 1965, is a distinguished stone sculptor known for his abstract and figurative carvings. He studied sculpture at the University of Chichester under Alan Saunders, a former student of Anthony Caro.
Following his degree, Ellis spent two decades as a sculpture conservator, initially in London and later in Ireland after relocating to Dublin in 1994. In 2006, he transitioned to focusing exclusively on his own sculptures, which now feature in numerous public and private collections.
His work is characterized by a deep understanding of stone, a skill honed during his conservation career. Ellis carves both abstract and figurative pieces, utilizing a variety of stone types.

Growing up on Dartmoor surrounded by a menagerie of creatures, Sorrel Penman has always had a great appreciation for the individual characters of animals.
Spending most of her childhood around horses, she initially began as an equestrian photographer but later expanded this into pastel pencil and then oil portraits. Since her early teens she has endured (helpful!) artistic criticism from her mother, Jessica Brown, which contributed to the realistic style she embraces in her work today.
Sorrel has been represented by Quantum Contemporary Art since 2024 and is available for commissions.

Evie Bulloch is a twenty-two-year-old multi- disciplinary artist working within the fields of printmaking, animation and drawing.
After an Erasmus year at HAW in Hamburg, she is based in London currently finishing her studies in Illustration Animation BA at Kingston School of Art.
Evie painted ‘Catching Light’ in tribute to Lord Gowrie.
